Hint: Frog respire in various ways but the pulmonary method is the same as of the other mammals of taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide, also known to be as lung respiration occurring in the adult life cycle of a frog. It usually occurs when a frog lives on land or says respire on the earth surface.

Complete answer:
- Ventilation refers to the respiration where the process of taking in oxygen and producing carbon dioxide works as a whole unit process.
- When frog locomote, walk jump on the surface of the land to do the tasks it needs oxygen to work freely and complete the task
- For increased demand for oxygen intake air rushes to the lung through external nares which follows the contraction of the muscle and increased volume of the buccopharyngeal cavity.
- After a whole mechanism occurs the volume of buccopharyngeal cavity decreases pressure increases and at last causes glottis to open
- This makes air to go into the lungs – alveoli where gaseous exchange occurs via diffusion
- While during expiration, it starts with the abdominal muscle contraction with the opening of external nares by sternohyoid muscle, lungs contracting pushing the air outside then closing of glottis.
- This mechanism mainly involves two taking in oxygen (inspiration ) and eliminating Carbon dioxide (expiration).

The correct answer is option (B) Aspiration, inspiration and expiration.

Additional Information: Lungs are spongy sacs of pink colour, hollow and small in size. There are one pair of lungs which are located on the anterior part of the body distributed each on one side of the heart. Frog undergoes a different type of respiration such as cutaneous which is done by skin, gill respiration, buccopharyngeal respiration.

Note:
The passage of air from outside into the buccopharyngeal cavity is known as aspiration. The process by which lungs are filled with fresh air is called pulmonary inspiration. The process of giving out carbon dioxide from the lungs back to the buccopharyngeal cavity and to outside is called expiration.
