Hint Fractional distillation separates a mix into a variety of various parts, called fractions. Generally, a tall fractionating column above the mixture is fitted, at different heights with several condensers coming off. The vapours condense at different temperatures within the fractionating column and the petroleum is evaporated .

Complete answer
Fractional Distillation Process
Evaporation: Fossil oil is heated until it evaporates. petroleum vapour is put into a fractionating column at the underside and rises upwards.
Condensation: The temperature is highest at the underside of the column.
Collection:The fractions are collected.
The reason that the fractional process gives better separation between the liquids is because the glass beads which are present in the column provide "theoretical plates" on which the liquid can reflux, condense, re-evaporate, and condense again, hence distilling the compound repeatedly..
The crude petroleum oil obtained from the oil field undergoes fractionation and a variety of products are generated. These products which are obtained from fractional processes include kerosene, petrol (or gasoline), naphtha, , diesel oil, oil, fuel oil, wax and grease, along with a few residues.
Petroleum refineries change fossil oil into petroleum products to be used as fuels for paving roads, transportation, heating and generating electricity and also as reagents for creating chemicals. Crude down into its various components upon refining breaks, which are then selectively reconfigured into new products.

Products obtained from petroleum include fuels used for transportation, fuel oils for heating and electricity generation, road oil and asphalt, and feedstocks for creating the plastics ,chemicals, and some artificial materials that are in nearly everything we use.

So the correct option is A.

Note: The method which is used to separate substances in mixtures which have significantly different boiling points, is called simple distillation, but in the fractional process is used/inhibited for mixtures which contain chemicals with boiling points near one another.
