Hint:A Newton disc is a disc with segments in rainbow colours. When the disc is rotated, the colours fade to white. In this way Isaac Newton demonstrated that white light is a combination of the seven different colours found in a rainbow.
Step by step solution:
Newton’s colour disc is a disk on which seven components of white light are painted in different sections as shown in the diagram.
Newton made his colour disc to prove that white colour is a combination of seven different colours So he took a circular Cardboard and divided it into seven sectors and he coloured all those seven sectors with this seven different colours that is Violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red then he rotated it very fast with a very high speed then the disc appeared to be white in colour. He proved with his colour disc that white colour is a combination of seven different colours.
So we can say that the white light is nothing but it is a mixture of light of all wavelengths in visible range means white colour is the mixture of all colours so light is not colourless.
In this question the option B is correct
Note:When the Newton’s disc rotate very fast then due to the Persistence of vision of human eyes the whole disc appear white in colour by this Newton prove that the white light made with the combination of seven colour and another way Newton proves it further by the prism Newton take a prism and pass white light through it then see it divided into seven components of light and he refracted again those seven colours from another prison then all seven colours combined together and again made white light by this Newton told that light alone responsible for colour.
