(2) Germ: This layer is rich in healthy fats and contains essential nutrients such as vitamin B, vitamin E, phytochemicals and antioxidants are also found; it is the core of seed where growth occurs.
(3) Endosperm: The innermost layer of seed is named endosperm. It contains carbohydrates, proteins and little quantity of vitamins.
The example of food grains are wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley, cereals etc. crop is a plant that can be cultivated or planted one large scale.
