Hint: The human skull consists of facial bones and cranial bones.

Complete Answer:
Talking about the human skeleton, what comes to our mind is some scenes from horror movies! Well, exactly that’s how we look beneath the skin! The human skeleton is made up of bones and joints.
The human skeleton can be divided into two parts as:
1) Axial skeleton that supports and protects the vital organs.
2) Appendicular skeleton that is made up of forelimbs, hindlimbs , pectoral and pelvic girdle.

The axial skeleton is made up of 80 bones from:
1) Skull
2) Vertebral column
3) Sternum
4) Ribs

The skull bones can be further classified as:
1) Fourteen facial bones
2) Eight cranial bones

So, the skull is made up of a total of twenty two bones.
The facial bones of the skull are as follows:

The cranial bones of the skull are as follows:

As you can notice, the cranial bones namely, frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital correlate with the parts of the cerebrum.

Note: In some texts, the ear ossicles, namely, malleus, incus and stapes, and the hyoid bone are also included in the skull bones. However, it is correct to say that the skull has a total of twenty two bones (fourteen facial and eight cranial bones).
