Complete answer:
Helmets have become a norm these days. The government, police, and concerned authorities are taking various rigorous steps in order to ensure that everyone wears a helmet while driving a two-wheel vehicle, except cycle. Various advantages of wearing a helmet are being cited by the authorities. But let me introduce you to the negative side of wearing helmets.
First of all, helmets have turned out to be expensive these days. This is because of the element of corruption involved in it on the part of certain authorities. Therefore, it becomes unaffordable for poor persons who struggle all day to meet both the ends.
We all have seen the size of the helmet. It is really big which makes carrying the helmet difficult. It usually requires separate handling and incidents of hurting someone by your helmet, forgetting it somewhere are common.
Wearing a helmet for long especially in summers and humid weather is very suffocating and the person feels uncomfortable. People with breathing or lungs disorder particularly find it difficult to wear a helmet.
Also, the helmet is risky on a busy road. This is because the helmet obstructs sound and sometimes vision as well. This can be harmful and can also lead to accidents.
Therefore, resting my arguments here, we need to rethink the benefits of wearing helmets and bring some changes in its design and use to ensure that the issues highlighted above can be addressed.
