Myriads of new and better programs are being conceptualized daily for trouble-free and superior uses. The computers are widely used in the ticketing counters of railway stations and airports as well as in the space rocket launching stations. In the fields of commerce & science, marine and seismographic activities, computers are used by the experts. Data mining and collection, trend analysis, comparison ratios, sales budgeting, sales forecast and inventory verification are done accurately with the help of computer software in large enterprises and government departments.

Virtual meetings via video conferencing have become the need of the hour and it helps to connect team members from geographically distant locations.Electronic mail and Electronic commerce are the latest most successful applications of computer science. The web and internet provide a swift, free and one of its kind ways to get information or to be in touch with others across the planet. Undoubtedly with the discovery of the super computers and the world-wide linkage through the internet the entire world has become like a small village.

In the industry of education, the role played by computers is virtually endless. EDUSAT is one great example of excellence via computers. In short, information technology has radically altered our lives.
