Arithmetic Progressions – Chapter 9, Mathematics (Class 10)

‘Arithmetic progressions’ is the 9th chapter of mathematics in Class 10. An arithmetic progression or arithmetic sequence can be defined as a sequence of numbers such that the difference between the consecutive terms is constant. For example, the sequence 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and so on, is an arithmetic progression with a common difference of 2. Thus, it is a sequence of numbers in which each differs from the preceding one by a constant quantity (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.; 9, 7, 5, 3, etc.).
