UPMSP Previous Year Question Paper for Class 12 Physics 2019

Q1. Can You Explain the Nature of Electromagnetic Waves?

Ans: The nature of the electromagnetic wave is transverse.

Q2. What Will Happen to the Power of a Lens? Is it Higher in the Air or Water?

Ans: Power r of the lens in air is higher comparative to dipped inside water.

Q3. Explain About the Factor of Alternating Circuit Current Containing a Pure Resistor and Pure Inductor.

Ans: In a pure resistor, the factor of alternating circuit current will be cos 0o = 1.0.

In a pure inductor, the factor of alternating circuit current will be cos 90o = 0.

Q4. Mention Two Important Properties and Uses of X-Rays.

Ans: Two important properties: The x-rays have a shorter wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum. Electromagnetic waves need high voltage to produce x-rays.

Two important properties: X- rays are used to take images of the human skeleton. X-rays traveling in a straight line can detect fractured bones and other medical purposes.

Q5. Explain About the Interference of Light. Also, Mention the Necessary Conditions for Interference.

Ans: Interference can be explained as an event where two waves merge with each other to create a resultant wave of lower, or greater, or the same amplitude. We can observe all kinds of waves such as light, radio, acoustic, surface water waves, gravity waves, or matter waves.

These Are the Necessary Conditions for Interference.

  • The source of light should be monochromatic.

  • The two waves require each other to remain at the same frequency.

  • All the waves need to travel in the same direction.
