2. What to do to fill the NTSE claim bill for scholarship?
Once your examination (Both stage 1 and stage 2 is over), look through the official website of NCERT to see if there are any updates. If you have successfully passed both stages, NCERT will send you a letter with a password mailed to you. Keep rechecking for any news of when the NTSE Claim Bill should be filled.
Now, for filling this Bill you will firstly require an SBI (State Bank Of India) Bank account. Once you have the password, go to the NCERT Website and log in with your ID and Password. Now click on the Add a Claim Bill and submit the scanned forms. Check the website once in a while.
3. How much is the scholarship in NTSE?
The scholarship that is provided to students on passing both the exam stages of NTSE is:
Cash Scholarship of 1250/- per month for the student studying in the 11th and 12th standard.
Cash Scholarship of 200/- per month for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Cash Scholarship during PHDs.
In addition to this, when a student goes to a college to study for his/her undergraduate degree in the field of Engineering or Medicine, they also get discounts.
4. How many questions are asked in the NTSE examination? Is there any negative marking?
The NTSE Exam takes place in two stages- Stage I and Stage II. SAT and MAT, which consists of 100 questions, consists of subjects like Math, Science, Social Science, Mental Ability and General Knowledge. Students should note that there is no negative marking in this exam, so you don't have to worry about taking a chance for some questions to which they don’t know the answer. The students are recommended to solve and attempt every question to increase their marks.
5. What was the cut off of the NTSE Exam in 2022?

The cut-off for the General category students is 132 out of 400. For reserved category candidates(OBC, SC, ST, EWS), there is some relaxation in the cut-off marks which ranges from 110 marks to 81 marks. Students are expected to score at least 40% for the general category students and 32% for the reserved category students of the total marks in the examination in order to get qualified for the same.
