• NITI Aayog launched a new initiative, keeping the advice of the Prime Minister in mind. They launched a program called ‘NITI Lectures: Transforming India’. In this program globally reputed policymakers, experts, administrators visit India to share their own knowledge, expertise, and experience in the policy forming process and how to conduct good governance with the Indian continent. 

• This initiative was launched as a series of lectures which started with the first lecture, which was delivered by the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam. He gave his speech on the topic “India and the Global Economy”. He delivered his speech in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. 

• The Prime Minister shared his ideas or his motive behind the lecture series and stated that his vision for India is rapid transformation, not gradual evolution. 

• On 31st August in the year 2017, NITI Aayog launched a State Statistics Handbook it consisted of all-important statistics across the sectors for every Indian State or Union Territory. While the State data which are focused on the crucial indicators are currently fragmented across the different sources, while this handbook provides all the data in a single place. 

• NITI Aayog has taken on the blockchain usages system of e-governance which has conceptualized the tech stack which came to be known as the ‘IndiaChain’ this name was given to the project which was focused on developing a nationwide blockchain network.
