1. What type of questions are asked in the PRMO Examination?
Ans: Mostly the questions asked in the PRMO examination are of numerical type. The topics covered in the PRMO syllabus can be prepared by referring to the various maths books of the respective grade. The numerical type questions asked in PRMO usually have 1 to 2 digit answers.
2. How many sums are there in the PRMO Question Paper?
Ans: There are 30 sums in the PRMO question paper and candidates are supposed to attempt all the sums. Most of the questions are likely to have a 1 or 2 digit answer. You will have to fill in the bubbles on the OMR sheets to record your answers.
3. Is there any negative marking system in the PRMO Examination?
Ans: No, there is no negative marking system in the PRMO examination. In the PRMO previous year question papers, there were questions of 2, 3, and 5 marks. All OMR sheets will be scanned and checked by machines. You must fill in the bubbles in the OMR sheets carefully since any half-filled bubble in the OMR sheet will not be counted during the correction, hence affecting your scores adversely.
4. How many seats are in PRMO?
Ans: There are a total of 28 regions.
For classes 8 through 11, there are 300 seats in each area.
For class 12, there are 60 seats in each area.
For JNV and KV, the percentages are 5% and 1%, respectively.
For all classes, the paper is the same.
Total seats for classes 8 to 12 may be estimated as 360 x 25 which is 9000 from 25 areas.
PRMO selects around 14000 students, including JNV and KV students.
5. What is the registration process for PRMO?
Ans: The registration process for PRMO is as follows.
