Overview of UIMO Exam

Mathematics is the new language of this advanced data-driven world. Therefore, sensing the importance of Mathematics very early the committee of the Unified Council started the UIMO or the Unified International Mathematics Olympiad.

 

What is UIMO?

UIMO or Unified International Mathematics Olympiad is a national level mathematics competition organized by the Unified Council annually to help students from class 1st to 10th analyze their strengths and their key improvement areas in Mathematics. The main idea behind UIMO is to make young minds acquainted with mathematics and the competition they will see in the coming future. 

 

Every student who appears for the examination receives a report card from the Unified Council that tells students about their performance and helps them in focusing on their improvement areas. Here is some of the specific information you should know before you apply for UIMO.

Mathematics

Length, weight, and capacity, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction, Money, Geometrical shapes, Time, Numbers.

Roman Numerals, Large Numbers, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Factors and Multiples, Fractions, Length, Weight, Capacity, and Time, Geometry, Perimeter and Area.

Alphabet Test, Coding-Decoding, Analogy and Counting Figures, The Odd One Out, Series, Analytical Reasoning, Adding Figures, Subtracting Figures, and Grouping Of Identical Figures.

Introduction to Trigonometry, Some Applications of Trigonometry,  Real Numbers and Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progressions, Triangles, Coordinate Geometry, Circles and Areas Related to Circles, Surface Areas and Volumes.

  • The student who achieves the 1st rank and highest percentage of marks among all the classes is declared as UIMO Topper and a UIMO Topper is awarded Rs. 2,00,000 cash prize*.

  • The efforts of each Top Rankers and the next 2 Rankers of each class are appreciated by giving them a Laptop and a Tablet PC respectively and a Memento to each one of them.

  • A cash prize of Rs. 1500 and Rs. 1000 is rewarded for ranks 4 to 10 and 11 to 25 of each class respectively.
