CUET 2024 Application Form Details

Vedantu is launching Class 12 CBSE Board + CUET Crash Courses for Science & Commerce Students. The course will comprise of LIVE classes by Master Teachers and doubt-solving by Class Teachers, along with class notes, assignments and tests.


As per the Board exam and CUET preparation, the course is divided into 2 phases

The registration for CUET 2024 exam began on February 27. This exam opens doors to UG courses of all central universities. It is compulsory for the aspirants to fill the CUET 2024 Application Form to appear in the examination which is scheduled from May 15 to 31. Although registration was closed, NTA has recently extended the registration. Candidates also made corrections in their forms within the specified date and time. The last date of fill out the Application Form will be in 31st March, 2024. But details of mobile number, email ID, and Address were not allowed to be edited. Only Class X and XII details were open to edit. 


Once the corrections are made and submitted, the form will be frozen. Candidates who have successfully registered will be able to get CUET 2024 Admit Card from the official website by just entering their application number and DOB.

Steps to Follow While Filling CUET 2024 Application Form

Follow the steps below to fill the CUET Application Form 2024:


  1. CUET 2024 Registration: Visit the official website, click on new CUET Registration 2024.

  2. Filling Out Registration Form: Candidates need to fill all the personal details that are asked in this section. Also, candidates have to enter a password of 8 characters minimum.

  3. Review the Personal Information: The details, addresses entered by the candidates must be reviewed before submitting. 

  4. Verification of OTP: Candidate has to complete the verification process through OTP. After the successful verification of the OTP, CUET Application Form number will be sent.

  5. Login: Candidates have to login by using their application number and password and click on ‘Continue Application Form.’

  6. Complete CUET Application Form: Candidates can now complete their form by filling all the other personal details.

  7. Fill Education Qualification Details: Enter required details and proceed. 

  8. University Selection: Candidates should select the University name and course by the selected University. Candidates can also remove the selection. 

  9. Paper Selection: Aspirants have to select papers for the 1st and 2nd slots of the exam. 

  10. Examination Centre Selection: Candidates have to select the four cities as their exam centre based on their preferences. 

  11. Upload the Respective Docs: Candidates must upload the documents mentioned in the application form. Make sure that documents are in the right format as specified.

  12. Preview CUET Application Form: Candidates should view and edit the application form before proceeding to fee payment. 

  13. Email Confirmation: Confirm Email ID before CUET Application Fee Payment.

  14. CUET Application Form 2024 Fee: The application fee will be updated on the basis of paper selection.

  15. Confirmation Page: Candidates can download the confirmation page once payment is over.

Discrepancies in CUET 2024 Application Form

Candidates application can be rejected based on the criteria that are mentioned below:


  • If the face in the photograph uploaded or signature is unclear.

  • In case candidates are unable to meet the eligibility criteria as per examination authority.

  • If wrong data is entered by the candidate.

Correction of CUET 2024 Application Form 

Candidates can edit their CUET 2024 Application Form for a period of time as extended by the exam authority. Candidates can just login by login ID and password and as NTA has recently included 2 new exam centres, candidates are allowed to edit those choices as per their preference.


Candidates should note that it is not possible to edit the following details:


  • Name

  • Category

  • Email ID

  • DOB


It is also worth noting that once they have made the payment for the application fee, the  online form can’t be edited. However, post completion of the payment, candidates can add additional courses by paying an additional fee for the course.

Important Instructions While Filling CUET 2024 Application Form 

  • Candidates can only apply to 3 selected central universities. Candidates would have to pay the application fee again if they decided to apply to more than three universities.

  • The exam authorities will not accept a candidate's application form till the CUET 2024 exam fee is paid.

  • On successful CUET 2024 online application form and fee payment, an email and SMS will be sent to candidates' registered email ID and mobile number.

  • Aspirants who pay their application fees via SBI challan may have to wait seven days to receive confirmation of acceptance of their CUET 2024 registration form.

1. What is the Application Fee for CUET PG 2023?

CUET PG 2023 application form will be incomplete without successful fee payment. CUET PG 2023 Application fee will differ as per the candidate’s category.

General: INR 800

OBC - NCL/Gen EWS: INR 600

SC/ST/Third Gender: INR 550

PwBD: INR 500

2. What to do in case of discrepancies in the application process?

If there is any discrepancy in the candidate's details or his/her photograph and signature on the e-Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate must immediately contact the NTA Help Line. In this case, the candidate can appear in the exam with the previously downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take the necessary steps to correct the record afterwards.

3. Why is CUET important?

Previously each central university had its own admission procedures for UG and PG courses. To channelise this process, the Education Ministry has introduced the CUET 2023 Exam, which will be monitored by the NTA for admissions into all of India's central universities from 2023.

4. What is the first step in the CUET Application Form 2023?

Register for the online application form and write down the Application Number generated by the system. The candidates need to provide the required information when completing the Online Application Form, as well as create a password, select a security question, and enter his/her answer. This application number will be further used for both CUET (PG) 2023 Sessions.

5. What are the reservation norms for the CUET 2023 Exam?

In terms of candidate intake and seat reservation, NTA adheres to the rules set by the government. The SC/ST, OBC, and PwD categories in the CUET Eligibility Criteria will be given relaxation.

The Reservation for CUET 2023 Exam will be as follows:

General Economically Weaker Sections (GEN-EWS): 10%

Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%

Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%

Other Backward Classes (Non creamy layer): 27%

Persons with Disability: 5% in each category
