JEXPO viz Joint entrance exam for polytechnics is conducted every year by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Department of Government of West Bengal. It is a state-level exam and gives admission to various Diploma programmes in Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy and various other streams. To secure admission in any of the government or private institutions of West Bengal, it is necessary to qualify JEXPO. This article details about JEXPO 2022 application form

 

Eligibility for JEXPO 

Before applying for the entrance, every candidate should check the following eligibility criteria for JEXPO:

  • Only Indian citizens can apply for the JEXPO

  • The candidate should have passed 10th or any other exam equivalent to the same by any recognized board or university. Here it is important to note that those candidates who are going to appear in 10th or any other equivalent exam can also apply for JEXPO

  • The candidate must have scored at least 35% marks in the above-mentioned exam

  • The subjects mandatory in the above-mentioned exam are English, Mathematics, Science/ Physical Science

  • The age of the candidate should be 15 years or more. However, there is no upper age limit.

Documents for JEXPO 

Every candidate who wants to fill the Application Form for JEXPO 2022 should keep the following documents handy before starting to fill the form :

  • Qualification Details as mentioned in the Eligibility criteria

  • Aadhar card of the candidate

  • Scanned copy of Photograph and signature  of the candidate

  • Email Id & other contact details

  • Birth Certificate

  • Caste Certificate if Required

 

How to Apply for JEXPO 2022

Application for JEXPO can be done in both online and offline mode. A step by step process to apply for JEXPO  is as under:

  • Online registration needs to be done at the official website

  • All the documents as mentioned earlier should be kept at hand before starting to apply

  • Also, the candidate should ensure that he fulfils all the mandatory eligibility criteria as mentioned above

  • All the basic details in the form are to be filled

  • The candidate receives an OTP at the mentioned email id and mobile number

  • After submitting the OTP, the instructions window is open

  • Read all the instructions and then fill all the other details as asked

  • Upload the required documents in scanned image copy

  • Verify the details and submit the form

  • After this, a confirmation window is generated. Take as many printouts as required of the JEXPO form 2022. 

  • Offline application forms in the form of OMR sheets are available at Government & Private Polytechnic institutions

  • The offline form needs to be filled up and submitted in the same institution where it was received from

  • All other details are the same as of online Form

FAQs on JEXPO Application Form 2023-24

1. What are the fees for Application Form of JEXPO 2022

The application fees for JEXPO is categorised differently for offline mode of Form and online mode of form. Also, it is different for Female and Male candidates.

The fees for Offline Application form for a male candidate is Rs 500, while for a female candidate is Rs 250.

The fees for Online application Form for a male candidate is Rs 450, while for a Female candidate is Rs 225.

The bank charges, if any, as per the bank norms is to be borne by the candidate himself or herself.  The candidate receives a receipt for payment of Fees for Application Form.


2. Give a Brief highlight of JEXPO 2022 exam and list some colleges

JEXPO 2020 is conducted in English & Bengali. It has two papers of 2 hours each. The Second paper has two sections, namely Physics & Chemistry. There are 100 Objective Type of Questions in each Paper that means a total of 200 Questions and 4 Hours paper. This is an Offline pen paper-based Test.

The course that is offered through this exam is a polytechnic diploma in engineering. Some of the colleges that offer this course are Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic, Purulia Polytechnic, Bankura Government Polytechnic, K G Engineering Institute, Malda polytechnic etc.
