MU OET Exam 2023-24

MET, formerly known as MU, OET Exam is the entrance test of Manipal University. The exam is held to facilitate the admission process of the aspirants into the Undergraduate, Post-Graduate and super-specialty courses of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, formerly Manipal University. The courses include Engineering, applied Science, Pharmacy, etc.

It is a national-level examination and is organized every year in the month of July-Aug in two phases. The exam is conducted in 80 different Indian cities and Dubai in online mode. Those who clear the exam will get admission into various engineering courses of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim, and Sikkim and Manipal University, Jaipur.

MU OET Application Form

The application form for MU OET Exam 2022 has been opened since Apr 30th, 2022 and the final date has been extended to May, 2022. The candidates have to fill the form before the deadline and make sure that every detail is filled accurately. In addition to this, they must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria even before they register for the examination. Following are the steps to fill the application form for MU OET 2022

Step1- Registration- The first and foremost step is to get registered for the entrance test.

For this, the aspirant will have to visit the official site of Manipal University and click on the register for MET 2022.

Fill the required personal and contact details like the Name of the candidate, Father’s Name, Gender, aadhar No., category, etc.

After that, the candidate needs to upload the photograph and signature in the preferred format.

Step2- Fill the application form.

After the registration, your registration ID will be generated automatically—login with that ID and password.

Fill the necessary details like the course, payment of the fee, center, etc.

Candidates have to be well-known to the important dates related to the exam so that they can prepare well in advance for all the steps from registration to counseling. Well, the process for the application form filling had begun from Apr 30th 2022, and the date of registration has now been extended to May 2022 due to the Pandemic situation. MU OET Exam Date

The chart apparently presents that the MET entrance exam will be held on `14th May onwards and the 2nd phase will be held in June. The date for the release of the result and the scorecard will be notified after the exam will be successfully conducted.

MU OET Admit Card

The admit card for the MU OET exam is released online at the official site of the university. The aspirants would not receive it by any other means, which is why they need to download it from the website itself. The admit card will entail the following information-

• Name of the candidate.

• Gender 

• Category

• Photograph and signature

• Name and date of the examination

• Center address

The instructions will be printed on the reverse side of the admit card. The candidates need to adhere to them and strictly follow each guideline sincerely. In addition to this, the admit card has to be preserved until the final step is performed. Moreover, this is a necessary document for entry to the examination hall on the exam day. • Log in to the official website.

• Click on the admit card link.

• You will have the admit card on the screen.

• Click on the ‘Download.’

• Take a printout.

After having the admit card, paste the photograph on the admit card.

MU OET Cut off

By cut off, we mean the minimum marks that the candidate needs to obtain in the entrance exam in order to take part in the further rounds of examination. The cutoff of various recent years is helpful for the candidate to a strategy for the preparation. He also gets to have the probability of success against his performance on knowing the cutoff. MU OET Eligibility  Criteria

It is imperative that the candidate go through the eligibility criteria and make sure they meet all the requirements. The eligibility criteria cover various aspects like the nationality, age limit, educational qualification, subject requirements, etc. Have a look at the basic eligibility criteria for MU OET 2022

• The aspirant should be Indian National.

• There is no minimum age limit for the test.

• The candidate should have passed class 12th with Physics, Mathematics, and English as the compulsory subjects.

• The candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in all the subjects required as per the course opted.

• If the candidate has applied for the Post-graduate program, he needs to have a minimum of 50% in the UG.

MU OET Exam Pattern

MU OET exam 2022 will be conducted in online mode, and the total 200  questions will be asked from various subjects opted and General aptitude. The candidate will be provided with 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam. The key features of the MU OET exam are-

• MU OET 2022 will be conducted in the English medium.

• All questions will be multiple choice types. The candidate will have four choices for each question, out of which the candidate will have to choose one right option by clicking on it.

• Each question carries four marks, which means for each right answer, the candidate will gain four marks. Whereas for every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

• The candidates will be given the rough sheets during the examination, which have to be returned after the examination.

MU OET Result

The result for MU OET 2022 will be published online on the official website by the conducting body of Manipal University. The result will be in the form of a scorecard, which will be the reference for the admission process. That is why this result has to be preserved until the final step of admission. Moreover, there are no complex steps to download the results. The steps include visiting the official website and then performing the steps asked.

MU OET Counseling

The number of rounds of counseling will depend upon the seats to be allotted. The first round will be conducted in offline mode, and the rest of the rounds will be in the online mode, and the center for the offline counseling will be notified once the registration for the counseling and the payment is done. Now the candidates must note that the final seat allotment will depend on the merit rank, availability of the seats, and the preference of the candidate.
