1. What is the Division of Marks Under the Sanskrit Syllabus?
The Sanskrit paper under the ICSE board consists of two examinations. One is an Internal exam which consists of 20 marks, and the other is a final examination that consists of 80 marks. The final examination paper is divided into two main sections. Section A consists of 40 marks and section B also consists of 40 marks. Section A is based on the language and has compositions, letter writing, comprehension and grammar. Section B is based on prescribed texts, which consist of short questions and answers.
2. How is the Sanskrit Syllabus Helpful in Securing Good Marks?
A student can only secure better grades when he/she is thorough with the syllabus. The Sanskrit syllabus will help the students to get an in-depth knowledge of the chapters. It also helps the students to get acquainted with the examination pattern. By referring to the Sanskrit Class 10 syllabus, students can get a complete knowledge of what to study under the subject. Students are also advised to make a study schedule so that they can properly manage time while preparing for the ICSE Class 10 Sanskrit examination.
3. What is the passing percentage of ICSE Class 10?
The ICSE Class 10 board examination is moderate in level and the passing percentage of students is also fairly well. For class 10 students, the total pass percentage has been declared to be 99.98 per cent in the previous year while the pass percentage recorded for class 12 is 99.76 per cent. In ICSE class 10 results, both girls and boys have recorded the same passing percentage of 99.98 percentage. So, the candidates appearing for the exam in the coming sessions are advised not to take a major load of studies while keeping themselves concentrated in the proper preparation.
4. What are the best of the five rules in ICSE?
In ICSE Class 10, there are a total of 10 subjects which include English 1 and 2, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, History, Geography, and Computer.
Both the English papers, i.e., English 1 and English 2 will count as one (average marks of both the papers will be taken)
All science papers are considered as one (Physics + Chemistry + Biology’s average marks)
Both History and Geography papers will be considered as one and their average will be counted.

Finally, out of the 10 subjects, there will be five that will be chosen as one of the above subjects is optional as English is compulsory, so the students are required to take English and 4 other subjects as part of the best of five rule.
5. Is ICSE a private board?
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education also known as ICSE is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, which is a private board designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, following use, recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986 (India), in the medium of English. The examination allows students to secure suitable representations of responsible schools (which are affiliated to it) in their respective states or union territories. However, its private candidates are not permitted to appear for this examination.
