Overview: Jharkhand Polytechnic Counselling 2022
The Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling 2022 initiated and managed by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). Once the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Exam (PECE) is conducted, the next step for the admission would be to take part in the Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling.
Jharkhand's Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Exam (PECE) is a state-level entrance exam, which is organized by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. PECE is organized to provide admission in different polytechnic courses under several polytechnic colleges of Jharkhand.
PECE is scheduled to be conducted in July month to fill around 11000+ seats in engineering and various non-engineering diploma courses. Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling will start within a week after the results of the PECE are announced.

Important Points for Counseling
The Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling 2022 will be organized in online mode.
Counseling will be done in two rounds
A merit list will be prepared by the board based on marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. Candidates will be able to take part in the Counseling as per their rank in the merit list.
An appearing student in class 10th examinations can also apply, but they will have to pass the qualifying exam before the beginning of the counseling round.
Candidates will have to pay the counseling fee to participate in the process.
General & OBC categories : Rs. 650/-
Scheduled caste, scheduled tribe & female candidates: Rs. 325/-
The counseling fee will be non-refundable. Candidates will have to pay the counseling fee through Bank Challan, Post Office Challan.
Candidates must not forget to download the copy of Challan through the website.
Counseling Schedule
PECE is scheduled to be held in the 2nd week of July 2022. The date of Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling 2022 starts from the 4th week of July 2022. Candidates are advised to keep a regular check for the schedule of counseling on the official website jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in after the results of the entrance exam will be announced.
Counseling Procedure
Candidates who will qualify the PECE called for the counseling based on their ranks in the merit list. Counseling will be conducted in 2 online rounds of seat allotment, but the number of rounds depends on the number of remaining vacant seats available after each Counseling round.
Steps to apply for Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling 2022
After logging in, the matrix of seats will be displayed on the website.
Candidates have to fill their choices of institutions.
Candidates are required to go through the document verification process at the time of counseling.
Candidates will be allotted seats based on the filled choices, rank, category, and availability of seats.
Candidates will also have to pay the seat allotment fee at the same time.
After the allotment of seats, candidates have to appear at their allotted college to confirm their admission before the due date.

1. Are there any age criteria to apply for Jharkhand Polytechnic Exam 2022?
There is no particular age limit to apply for Jharkhand Polytechnic Exam 2022 for all the engineering and non-engineering courses. However, there is an exception for the candidates applying for mining engineering should have an age between 17 to 20 years as on 1st July 2022.
2. Will the exam be conducted online? What will be the language of the paper? Is there any negative marking for the wrong answers?
No, the entrance test will be conducted in offline mode. Answers must be marked on the OMR sheet with blue/ black ballpoint pen only.
The question paper will be available both in English and Hindi.
Also, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong.
