Assam CEE Eligibility Criteria 2023-24

The exam conducting body for Assam CEE 2022, has prepared the Assam CEE eligibility criteria, that have to be fulfilled by the aspiring candidates so as to appear in the examination. The eligibility criteria consist of age limit, academic qualification, domicile, and nationality. Candidates must check if they meet all the eligibility criteria as set by Assam Science and Technology University, before filling in the Assam CEE application form.

Assam Science and Technology University conducts this entrance examination for engineering aspirants, once in a year. Aspirants can fill the application form for Assam CEE 2022 till 4^th week of May 2022(Tentative). The university has published a revised schedule for the examination, according to which the new exam dates are 4^th week of June 2022 (Tentative). After the online application window closes, only those applicants who meet the Assam CEE eligibility criteria will be issued admit cards in July. 

An Overview of Assam CEE Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the Assam CEE eligibility criteria on the official website of Assam Science and Technology University. The university has published the set of eligibility criteria along with the information brochure for the examination. Candidates must become familiar with the eligibility criteria before filling the application form as the applications of those candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered. 

For the reference of candidates, the eligibility criteria for filling the application form are given below.

• Nationality: Candidates aspiring to appear in the exam must be an Indian citizen.

• Age: The lower age limit for applying to Assam CEE 2022 is 17 years. The upper age limit for all candidates applying to Assam CEE 2022 is 21 years. Candidates ages should be provided as on or after August 1, 2022.

• Domicile Requirements: Candidates aspiring to appear in the Assam CEE 2022 must be a permanent resident of Assam. If a candidate’s parents are employed in the state government services, then the candidate will also be eligible for appearing in Assam CEE 2022.

• Academic Requirements: Candidates having passed the 12th board examination from Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or any other educational board recognized by the Assam state government are eligible to apply for Assam CEE 2022. Candidates must have passed their 12th board examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the major subjects. Candidates must have secured an aggregate of 50-55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Also, they must secure passing marks in each of these three subjects.The marks requirement for candidates belonging to various social categories is tabulated below.

The syllabus of Assam CEE 2022 covers topics from the 11th and 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates are suggested to refer to the previous years’ question papers of Assam CEE and get familiarised with the question pattern and marking scheme. Since multiple-choice questions will be asked in this examination, candidates are advised to solve as many objective-type questions as possible and work on their time management skills.
